HEAL Nepal

The HEAL project will provide cutting edge treatments and care to end suffering and disability caused by leprosy and Lymphatic Filariasis (LF). The project will also build capacity of government health staff in diagnosis and referral of leprosy and LF. It will create safe spaces for patients to explore inner strengths, improve self image and well being and advocate for rights.

The project will:

  • Reach 1.3 million of the Nepali population with a leprosy campaign
  • Improve health and dignity of 2136 people affected by leprosy and LF
  • Train 1340 health workers in leprosy and lf diagnosis
  • Provide therapy and assistive devices to 1067 people
