RIGHT
RIGHT is an inter country (Nepal, India and Nigeria) research project aiming to transform the treatment and prevention of leprosy and Buruli Ulcers (BU). The research project aims to:
• Improve self care in the community for patients who are at risk of recurring leprosy ulcers
• Better understand the needs of patients with BU and the barriers to meeting those needs
• Develop new and improved methods of clinical care for both leprosy and BU patients
Since its inception, the project has undertaken further research initiatives.
SHERPA: To evaluate a service intervention called Integrated Mobilization of People for Active Community Transformation (IMPACT).
TABLE: To evaluate a treatment based on autologous blood products – Leukocyte and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (L-PRF), for the treatment of leprosy ulcers.
INHERITANCE: To evaluate the sustainability of program activities of CEDAR (Community Empowerment, Development, Disability & Rehabilitation) and PACED (Participatory Action for Community Empowerment and Development) Projects run by The Leprosy Mission Nepal (TLMN) and of perceptions any short-term benefits.
